I LOVE my AWN412 speed queen washer, very simple and actually gets my clothes clean! I went through 2 HE sets in 2 months (samsung, lg) and hated them both, little to no water and NEVER actually cleaned the clothes. I hope and pray Speed queen starts making the AWN412 again, it is a true work horse with BEYOND AMAZING cleaning!! For now, I will repair it as it breaks so I do not have to buy the 2018 and newer speed queens, as the cleaning of clothes is less than good on the 2018 and newer machines.

We've only had the DR5000WE dryer a month but it has operated flawlessly. We paired it with a Speed Queen (AWN412) washer we bought in 2015 that has been great. My wife uses both about 4 days out of 7. The features we like best is "they don't have a lot of features", just what you need and not a lot of fancy electronics to break down like some machines we have had. I highly recommend SQ products.

Speed Queen is absolutely the best purchase you will ever make in your laundry room. I am a factory worker. I get very sweaty and nasty on a daily basis and I am around grease and dirt constantly. I have had a Speed Queen since 2017 and There is not one bad thing I can say about it. It's basically an upgraded version of the best designed washer ever Made, which are in every laundromat in America. Their cleaning power is unmatched and they will not rip your delicate clothing. If you are tired of these so called energy efficient washers not agitating your clothes and getting them clean and smelling great then go with the speed Queen. It is a true agitating washer and it is very fast compared to every model. I have turned on many people to this washer, especially the ones that want to buy the best that have kids that get dirty alot. These washer's last up to 25 years and are made of all metal parts on the inside, except for the few plastic pieces on the agitator. The Lesson here is---Buy it once and buy it right, the FIRST time.

We are thrilled with this washer. It replaced a 20+ y/o Kenmore. Local service tech recommended going with a Speed Queen when we were ready for a new machine. Problem was, we had very limited space; the old washer was 24" wide. All the compacts I researched were so small and so expensive for the size, they made me cry. This new Speed Queen squeaked in at 25 1/2" wide. It has larger capacity than old machine with a stainless steel bucket. Lots of different load sizes and wash settings. Definitely noisier, so that is why only 4 stars. I am happy with this top loader with agitator versus high efficiency top load -- don't think I would have adjusted to the way the HEs clean.

Great Washing Machine--Issues with suds overflow

Unfortunately, though the machine is wonderful we experienced suds overflow. After talking to the supplier we purchased it from, they sent people out twice, both times we were told it was a clog in our line. We then had a plumber come (which cost $150!) and was told we did not have a clog and that the machine was very strong which caused the suds overflow. I searched U-Tube and finally contacted Speed Queen and received an email stating we had to use fabric softener which would eventually eliminate the suds. The fabric softener worked. I should not have needed to spend so much time AND MONEY trying to resolve the problem. Speed Queen should inform their suppliers and also include information regarding the suds overflow problem with paperwork when purchasing new washing machines.

I chose this machine because I didn't want any fancy display panels or gadgets. It was just me and my husband and I only needed a dependable washing machine. This did everything I needed and was perfect. Little did I know, but my daughter and their baby decided to move back to our hometown and needed to stay with us till the house sold. This washing stood up to the task of washing clothes every day for several months and was very dependable. I had one small issue with one of the control knobs and when I called customer service they were extremely helpful and got my part out ASAP. WONDERFUL MACHINE. Definitely a great purchase.

After having suffered with a HE top loader with lots of unused features, I am back to a machine with an agitator and simple controls. It does a great job cleaning my laundry and in just 30 minutes, not the 50+ minutes like my old whirlpool. After having the WP for just 6 years, I was happy when the repairman told me to replace it because it was junk. He said "buy a speed queen" .... and I did. Good advice from a longtime repairman.

I bought my machine this after my very high end German manufactured unit completely collapsed after 9 years of rather light use. My Speed Queen unit has been in service less than a year now but, if it gives anywhere near the 25 year service life it is purportedly to, I will be very happy and that is was why I bought it. I also like the fact it does not take so much time to complete a load of laundry as the old high efficiency unit did. The wash cleanliness appears to be of the equal quality as the old HE unit from a non laboratory perspective.

We live on a farm and get dirty. Had previously purchased another manufacturer's "commercial" top load with agitator. We often had to run clothes through 2 or 3 times to get them kind of clean. We've had our washing machine for around 2 months. We previously had a LG front loader that was an original so it had its issues with mildew around the rubber seals and trouble getting our towels to smell fresh. However, I could usually take clothes out from the washer with no wrinkling and hang them to dry without worrying about ironing. Our Speed Queen washing machine does get our towels smelling fresh without having to run on extra long cycles. However, the clothes are very wrinkled when pulling them out so many have to go in the dryer and for nicer clothes I don't like to dry, I have to dry on low a short time or hang them and have to iron or steam the wrinkles out. But as far as doing it's job to get the laundry clean, it does in fact do that well. The dryer work well but I don't like the lint trap is open and if clothes get drug across it before emptying, you drag the lint with them and it is very loud! The dryer sounds like there's a basketball inside beating the walls. Also, on the washer, I wish the water would continue to refill while the lid was open. And our water bill increased quite a bit since it's not for preservation of water use and the tub fills. I feel this is a trade off for cleaner clothes.
