Highly recommend NOT buying this if you find it available

We purchased this model during October 2014, and it stopped drying in February 2017. The service tech said the heating control element does not work. The warranty expired in October 2016, so we had use of this model for almost 2 1/2 years before it stopped working. The front rack began popping out of the roller used on the left about a year ago, so I suppose that's when it began falling apart. Very disappointed that we paid good money on a supposedly "good" dishwasher only to have it last less than three years.

we have had this unit for less than 2 years and the control board has been going out for the last 6 months. we re-set it by un-plugging it for 10 seconds and it comes back up, but other than that its an awesome machine. cleans great and is very quite but it takes a while on the sensor mode

We purchased this dishwasher, because we always had good luck with Whirlpool. The only thing I do not like about this dishwasher is that when you select a cycle it does not tell you how long the cycle will be running, after it starts you have not idea where in the cycle it is. I also do not like that if you open the dishwasher to check to see where in the cycle it is, you have to push the start button again to have it continue running the cycle.

I wanted to stay with an American product for two reasons, to support the local work force as well as the ease of both tech support and ordering products. The dish washer works perfectly and has the options we were looking for. The only con we have is that the silverware holder is on the front door. We've moved it into the main body of the bottom rack and it works great.

We recently purchased this dishwasher and have seen great results. Installation was easy. It is extremely quiet! The finished light could be more visible. Lots of room and the top rack adjusts easily. Great pick!

After researching many brands I chose this Whirpool model and am glad I did. Our prior dishwasher failed to drain and just did not get our dishes clean. This one is so quite and does a spectacular job. Even on the Eco setting. Would definitely recommend

I bought this dishwasher after LOTS of research about three months ago to replace a dead Maytag which lasted 13 years. The stainless steel finish looks great alongside my wood cabinets. It has a plethora of features to handle whatever you may throw at it. It does a great job cleaning and drying all our dishes when it is full to the brim or just a top load. The utensils tray is not engineered well. Wherever you put it, it seems inconvenient. The adjustable rack is quite helpful. All the buttons are on the top, so they aren't visible if you just glance at it. Because it is so quiet, it is difficult to tell if its running unless you bend down and look to see if the "run" light is lit. There have been several instances where the dishwasher hasn't run overnight even after we thought we had run it. It is important to use the recommended detergent because there was one occasion when we used an off-brand and the dishwasher did not clean well. Also it is vital to clean out the filter once every two weeks or the entire dishwasher will smell awful. Also, one other thing we noticed is that the handle bar and frame have come loose on multiple occasions. This has resulted in water all over the kitchen floor, and a re-run after screwing everything in again. This could have been due to poor installation, however. All in all, a great dishwasher.

Love having a viewable level to see when I need to add new rinse agent. Cleans dishes very well. Almost silent. Can't really tell it's running unless really listening hard for signs of noise.

What's actually going on when you press the controls could be more intuitive. It's not really clear if you're using all the washes you've selected and there's not a general basic wash. Also, you have to press start twice to start - which to lead to a surprise when your dishes aren't clean in the morning. Otherwise this thing is great!

This washer does not clean well unless you wash the dishes first. Leaves a strong odor if any food is left on the dishes. Not happy and stuck with this unit.

My new whirlpool dishwasher does a pretty good job cleaning my dishes in spite of extremely hard water which made my last dishwasher a real dud. However, a few of it's features are driving me crazy. in order to see if the cycle is complete, you must open the dishwasher., and even then it's difficult to know if the cycle is finished. This means kids who have been asked to put their dirty dishes in the dishwasher often put dirty things into a clean load. it's also frustrating that there is no indicator to tell you where you are in the cycle (ie. washing or drying) so it's hard to judge how long it will take for things to get finished. Obviously the dishwasher is quiet ( a plus), but I would not get this model again for a family or a household where more than one person does the dishes.I've also had a hard time getting the machine to start, but am having this checked out by a technician, so this may only be a temporary glitch. And finally, because a long spoon or knife gets caught in the soap dispenser, the silverware holder in the door often open when I am trying to lift it out

Installing it was easy and it has been running great since. One reminder is to use rinse aid otherwise there can be moisture build up on the sides after the cycle completes. The manual does recommend using rinse aid to help prevent moisture build up.

I bought this Whirlpool Gold dishwasher, after researching on line for a few weeks and reading all the reviews ( they do help) and I finally decided on my Whirlpool dishwasher. Our water is very hard and my other dishwasher would not make my dishes and glasses sparkle, no matter what I added to the dish detergent, now I add to my Whirlpool Gold, Cascade Complete, Cascade Rinse and Lemon Shine Original and Wow, my dishes and including my glassware, shine, sparkle and shine and sparkle again, when I have sparkling and shinning dishes and glassware, my kitchen just sparkle, sparkle and it makes me sparkle too. The 2nd week after installation the dishwasher stopped working because of some strange melted plastic (factory?) in the drain pump but excellent warranty service took care of the problem and our dishes have never been so clean. It is quiet, we love it!

We recently replaced the noisiest dishwasher ever with the quietest dishwasher ever. I wish we would have done it sooner. Our new whirlpool dishwasher was very reasonably priced - our dishes are cleaner than before, and there is so much more room its ridiculous. But the sound of this unit running, or should I say lack of sound, is great. It's extremely quiet, as in, I have occasionally gone back into the kitchen after starting it to make sure it's actually running. We just love it and can't recommend it highly enough.

I like the size and layout of the dishwasher and the level the drawers are at. They make it easier to put larger items in top drawer. The real issue is that the drawers have no stops and can be pulled out of their slides if you pull them out too far. This has resulted in a couple mishaps with our dishes.

I did my research and picked this brand and model for all the right reasons. I love this dishwasher. I purchased GE in my previous home and when we sold that and bought a new house that needed new appliances I knew I wanted GE again because they function so well. This particular model is so quite, has lots of space for dishes and even glassware, and I love the silverware holder that pops out for easy putting away once clean. I love this dishwasher and would recommend it over other brands any day!

I like the dishwasher however the dishwasher silverware draw is nothing short of horrible. I had to tie wrap it shut so when it has knives etc it does not pop open. Most of the slits are too small to hold most silverware so they need to go in the middle two spaces which fills up quickly.

It was time for a new dishwasher and a we decided on this Whirlpool model. It does a decent job, but rinse dishes first. It is SUPER quiet and is an added bonus. The bottom rack could be designed better, but overall a good dishwasher in this price range.
