I have had I have had this refrigerator for approximately 6 months the ergonomic design is excellent the bottom drawer freezer that you only get into occasionally is a smart idea with the French door refrigerator you only have to open have to refrigerator to get stuff out so you don't lose your cold air and a refrigerator does not have to run as much I work in retirement community where we have been purchasing Whirlpool refrigerators for the past 12 years they are built to last out of 12 years of purchasing Whirlpool refrigerators we have had very few with problems the one that I purchased we've had no problem at all with I would recommend purchasing a Whirlpool refrigerator hands-down

bought fridge 3/3/15, ice maker stopped working 8/15, so we'll see how longer the replacement part lasts. It seems like it is a lot noisier than our old fridge.

This was the first time that I boughgt a "high end" refrigerator. We are a family of 8 and needed a big fridge so we spent over $1,700 on this unit. No more than a month went by and one of the shelf brackets broke. Then the same one broke again about a month later. Then, after having the fridge for about a year, the defrost drain line malfunctioned which caused drain water to collect and freeze in the freezer after which it would melt all over the kitchen floor. For the last year I have been spending 30 minutes 2-3 times per week chipping ice out of the freezer and mopping the floor.I finally had enough and called for the repair....they came, knew of that existing issue, fixed it and charged me $200. If a company knows of an existing part malfunction....FIX IT FOR FREE!

I really like the freezer on the bottom, lots more room than my old side by side. and you can see everything you have in the freezer. The water and ice dispenser are great! There is lots of room on shelves and in the doors.

I bought this in black. I love the features like crushed ice and a thin drawer that fits pop great but would be good for a large sheet cake you wanted to keep safe till the party too.

I do not like the ice maker it is very hard to get it open to see if there is ice in it ? It makes ice fast but not enough fast enough, the storage is too small. After 3 large glasses it is empty? It could use a port of some sort to have two ice makers if you need it? the food is kept at a good temp and it looks pretty. the french door sometimes does not shut. The bottom freezer is hard to get a big bag of ice in.

I just moved into my new energy efficient home. I have a whirlpool refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher. The first thing I loved was the design on the refrigerator. It is so efficient with the double doors on top and the two tier freezer on the bottom. Everything fits better than I have ever had and I have been married 46 years and have moved 36 times. This is my first experience with Whirlpool and I will never have anything else. The stove is gas and the control is wonderful. The Microwave is super nice as well. But the biggest surprise of all was the Dishwasher. What a delight, IT WORKS!! It is the quietest Dishwasher I have ever had and when the washing is done. THE DISHES ARE CLEAN. THANK YOU WHIRLPOOL-Your the greatest!!.

I extensively researched this purchase before making a decision and we are very happy with this refrigerator. I believe we got the best refrigerator for the price. I haven't even changed the default temperature settings because the drinks are cold enough and the ice cream is just right. The door alarm is a bonus in our house because of the kids. The bottom drawer of the refrigerator section is perfect for our 5 year old to easily see and retrieve his favorite snacks. The clearance of the ice and water dispenser is much taller than our old one and allows us to fit our tallest glasses and cups. The quality of the water is incredible. The ice machine has been keeping up with our demand and it is summer now so demand is high. I never had a bottom freezer before and I really like the drawer style door. A large pizza can easily fit. We have other black appliances and the finish on this fridge is impressive. Lastly, and most importantly, my wife is happy.

I had to wait over a month for it to come in . when they told me I would have it in 7 to 9 days . the ice maker take a long time to make ice . ( we put ice in a cooler using all the ice in the maker and took over 24 hours to my first peace of ice out it after that ) ice keep jamming in the ice chute in the door . I have to keep digging it out . it is just not the quality I thought I would get from whirlpool
