The fridge is very cheap quality. Most everything is all plastic. Even the door handles. The fridge door handle already cracked and broke and I had to spend over $50 to get a new one. The fridge does not seem to get very cold and there is onky one setting on the temp control so there is no way to turn the temp down and make it colder. This is the first time I have owned a fridgedaire and will be my last. My other fridge is a Samsung and it is much better quality

Bought this refrigerator 2 1/2 years ago and have had problems with the top 2 shelves since day 1. Found out that those 2 shelves will not handle any kind of weight, i.e. 12 pack of pop. The shelves are not quite wide enough or not sturdy enough, probably both. I found out the hard way. I loaded a 12 pack of pop on the middle shelf and it came crashing down. Upon examining the shelf, you can see that it flexes with any weight and then slides off the side bracket. I called customer service and they said not to put more than 5 lbs on a shelf. I guess I won't be buying a ham or anything like that. If I would have known that when we were looking at it, we would have looked at a different model. Everything else is good but very disappointed with the shelves.

I purchased this refrigerator about 4 years and 3 months ago. Already the handle to the door has broken off!I™™m the only one that lives here, so there isn™™t high traffic in my house.I called Frigidaire and their solution was for me to buy a new handle from them. If they can™™t figure out how to make a handle last, I will assume the rest of the product is junk as well.I Am Though With Electrolux Products

We bought this about 2 years ago for a vacation rental home that we have. While the unit has operated well we have had to replace the handle to the refrigerator 5 times and now having to replace one of the racks in the door. It is now a discontinued model so parts are becoming more difficult to find.

Bought this unit less than 2 years ago and the freezer quit working - very disappointing, However contacting the service department at Frigidare was very good. All the individuals that I talked with were very helpful and hopefully the problem will be resolved soon. Too many problems & do not like the change to NOT GARAGE READY!!!

Bought in April, makes a knocking noise but not all the time. Store I bought it from wanted to hear the noise but it didn't do it while they were here. So no solution other than to try and record it for a call to repair. It's hard to catch since it doesn't do it all the time and when it does it doesn't last long. Had this brand before and very disappointed this go around.

Not been a good experience. Compressor went down after 3 weeks of use. I have been waiting 2 more weeks for replacement compressor, still no refrigerator. Frigidaire should have sent a new refrigerator and replaced food list due to cheap appliances they are building.

I bought this appliance for our place up north so we don't go in it very often. The freezer and refrigerator must be on the highest setting to cool and it is still not great. Ee have lost money in groceries prior to figuring the out. I've tried to receive service for 1 month now. They tell me they have left messages and sent emails now of which I received. I am very frustrated with the repair service team. Let's see if the repair people actually show up and fix the problem next week.

This fridge came new with a house I bought a few months ago. My first instinct was to just replace it, since it seemed pretty basic, but then after paying closing costs, mortgage, taxes, and so on, I thought, you know what, this fridge is just fine. I sat in my new kitchen soon after moving in and listened to the freezer grind away. Maybe this is normal, I thought, as I googled fixes. Five months later it's driving me nuts, this can't be normal. My fridge at work (not a Frigidaire, though nothing fancy) is perfectly silent. Also it doesn't fingerprint like a crime scene. This needs to be looked at, so I called Frigidaire's help line for, you know, help. I had to use their "virtual assistant" where you speak out the model number ("ef. ef. tee. arr. one. eight..."), serial number, etc. Like a lot of people these days, I work in an open office, and you feel utterly ridiculous doing this, not to mention obviously not working. After about 20 minutes of spelling out things, the VA said the customer service was closed at this time and hung up. Guys, tell me that before I jump through your virtual hoops! The second time I got further, though still not to a unvirtual person. The "VA" gave me the name and phone number of a place with no instructions, presumably to call them for service. I did, they were OUT OF BUSINESS. Frigidaire™"built with American Pride™"you can do better. What do I do now?

I have an older house, so I chose this fridge mainly because it™™s size fit the space we had. It looks nice. The suction on the doors is not very strong so I always worry the doors are not fully closed. Also the 2nd to the bottom shelf is not wide enough and if bumped almost falls down. Plastic on crispers and door shleves seems fragile. Next time I will pay more attention to small details, but had to buy one quickly since my other one failed. It does work well and serves it purpose.

I have purchased several Frigidaire 18 cf refrigerators for rental properties. Half or more of them have had the refrigerator handle break off. In reading other reviews, that seems to be a fairly common problem, but they have not issued a recall. They will, however, offer to send you one at full price if it's been more than a year since purchase. (I don't usually know within a year because the tenant's don't tell me.)

I like the fridge well enough. The motor is loud. Four months after plugging it in, it wasn't defrosting. Turns out the heater was never plugged in the factory. However, the tech immediately came out.

Needed a basic refrigerator as a second one. Has proven to be my favourite so far! No frills but just a good solid unit. I have had other very expensive brands that have continually had problems. I had one issue with this unit and they took care of it quickly and professionally. Turned out the frig was fine, just an ™operator error™™ with defrosting. Lol

I bought this for my home remodel. The unit is nice but a little big for my kitchen. The measurements listed were slightly different then the actual size. When sent the handle was on the wrong side so I had to which it, which didn't work out to well. When it cycles it is louder then my dishwasher. other then that the refrigerator is fine.

I bought this as a second "beer fridge" for the garage. I wish the guy at Best Buy had told me that the freezer would stop working when it gets cold outside. (The Best Buy sales person said it was a great fridge for the garage.) I bought a garage kit for like $25 that is supposed to get the freezer working again. I haven't installed yet, but I hope it helps.

First new refrigerator never would get cold. Of course, I did not expect such results, so I bought frozen food that evening of the delivery. The next evening, the freezer was not cold. Asked Frigidaire to replace the frozen food that had melted ($65), but they in essence, said tough...not their problem

I bought this back in August and have had no end to problems. First the ice maker didn't work and had to be replaced. Replacement didn't put out the advertised amount of ice. Then compressor and condenser had to be replaced. Ice maker still didn't produce the advertised ice. Some kind of flow diverter was installed. Things worked for about 1 month then the ice maker went back to its old behavior. Still waiting for the next technician visit 5 months after purchase. Can't seem to get Frigidaire to replace unit. Now considering donating the fridge to a charity and going with a different manufacturer. Do not buy this product

I had the same model nine years ago, so bought this one again. Works well, although some of the odd noises take getting used to. The glass shelves now have a gap on each side on wire frames, I did prefer the entire surface covered. Also, the side door storage has gaps at the bottom, so not all jars/bottles can be securely placed on every level.The overall quality of the unit is very good. Cooling features are working great, seals are good, and made substantially.Very nice for the price!

I bought a brand new fridge back in August 2017 and it needs repair.... only About three months after the purchase... The power is on but it™™s not cooling both top and bottom. I had tech come in several times to resolve the problem but he couldn™™t fix it even after he came with new parts. I have been living without a fridge for over a month now and I am still waiting for the tech to come back. I am so angry that I have to go through this because of your product. I am so disappointed and wish I could return it and buy a fridge from a different company because I am worried if it will break again very soon in the future and I have to pay for repairs out of my pocket.
