This fridge was manufactured in December of 2015 and stopped working while we were away. We lost over a thousand dollars in meat in the freezer. I can't believe it only lasted not even three years.

I LOVE MY SIDE BY SIDE . ONLY THING I DID NOT LIKE I BOUGHT 3 YEAR WARRANTY AND HAD FACTORY WARRANTY OF ONE YEAR. AND ONLY GET TOTAL OF THREE YEARS. SHOULD BE ONE YEAR PLUS 3 YEARS = 4 YEARS. MY WARRANTY RUNS OUT IN 3 YEARS NOT 4 AS SHOULD BEEN. THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT WAY IT WORKS. I HAVE NEVER BOUGHT WARRANTY ON ANY THING BUT THIS AND WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER WARRANTY LIKE THAT. performance and all stars check 5 so for just had it a month. 1st time buyer here this brand.

We bought this because our old refrigerator went kaput. I looked at several different ones and I liked the features on this one especially the ice and water dispenser and the storage bins in the refrigerator and freezer. The main reason that I bought this also is that it was made in the USA.

I bought this fridge on sale because my other fridge broke. I was happy with the price but more importantly, it's roomy and is a good fit for me. I didn't want a huge, expensive fridge. This one is just right and I love it! It has lots of space and compartments and I really like the ice maker which makes smaller sized ice cubes. Great product!

My old refrigerator was working fine...just old and yellowed. My appliance repairman recommended the Amana, and I purchased it from them. Haven't looked back yet. Makes awesome ice, keeps things cold and does what it is supposed to do without any drama. Took me awhile to get used to new water and ice controls, but it's all good!

We had an Amana refrigerator (side by side) for 16 years and we loved it. We replaced it when it died with the closet Amana side by side we could find that would fit. We are not thrilled. All below is in comparison to what we had. The water outlet is slower and warmer - the ice cubes are smaller and more difficult to reach - the ice crusher never fails to leave chips falling on the floor - there is no can holder tray - the shelves don't allow full use of the space they take because of their tapered ends in back - there is no drawer for deli meats. But, the door shelves are larger.. I really couldn't recommend this unit to anyone else. In all honesty, we're sorry we bought it. Our old Amana crashed and we rushed to buy what we thought was the closest replacement. I realize that you are not happy hearing this but I offer these comments in the hope that you will at least take them into consideration in the future. We loved our old Amana. Not so this one. I purchased this to replace my transitional top freezer refrigerator. I was looking forward to an ice machine and ice/water dispenser in the door. More space and functional than you may think a side by side would be however the ice dispenser gets jammed up when you crush the ice. No functional issue with the maker but possibly a design flaw? Cubes ice dispenses with no issue although occasionally it spits an ice cube out which both the kids and the dog get a kick out of. :)

When I went shopping for a new side by side, I did not have an Amana in mind to purchase. The unit I had previously owned was approximately twenty-five years old and had served my family well. I looked at all of the units in stock and decided that day on the Amana. It was delivered one week later, how happy I was to have a refrigerator in my kitchen again. Everyone who has visited me has ranted about the refrigerator and wanted to know where I purchased it and the price. Thank you AMANA for making an affordable unit such as mine. I am a retired widow, living on a fixed income but I assure you, my next appliance will be an AMANA.

I bought this to replace a 21 yr. old Amana side x side & am not completely happy with it. I'm 74 with some disability & live alone. The top shelf, for tall bottles & things is too high & the deep door bin doesn't hold it all. & I miss the smaller drawer @ hand level for lunch meat & cheese, etc. I really didn't want the dispenser because it takes up so much freezer space, but 15 years ago I gave my daughter my old freezer which I had for I can't recall how long before that. My Mom died in 1989 & had an Amana upright freezer. When my dad died in 2000, my son got that freezer & it still works! I have an Amana stove & over that an Amana microwave (my second only because of color r/t remodeling). I can't get the filter drawer open (even lying on the floor with a flashlight), to see the part # which is NOT in the manual or any other place I've looked. It's taken me a month to get used to the configuration & have things pretty well organized now. I wasn't pleased with the parts web-site as it didn't describe the DEPTH of the meat or snack drawer. Not everyone is young & tech savvy but we learn to do our best.

This refrigerator provides a lot of storage for both cold and frozen foods. In addition it has an ice maker that serves medium sized cubes which are just right for beverage glasses. The exterior has a sleek white finish that fits very well with today's popular white-black-grey designer look. Controls to regular temperature are conveniently located and easy to adjust. The water filter has it's own little compartment and is near the floor making it very accessible to change as needed. We are very satisfied with all aspects of this appliance, including the very reasonable price.

This refrigerator replaced the exact model we had but the one we had was 24 years old. I hope this one lasts as long as the one it replaced. I miss having the milk cooler section. I liked my crisper drawers higher like the old one, but I'm getting used to it and like it very much. I liked the chrome on the old one but this one has a very sleek design so I'm getting used to that too.

The Amana Side-by-Side is perfect for our vacation home. Plenty of freezer space for stored food or fish caught. The refrigerator side is just about the right size to hold all the groceries. Having the ice cubes and water is great. Previously we had to buy bottled water and now it's all filtered through the refrigerator.

I have 4 criteria for buying appliances: value, quietness, reliability, and longevity. I haven't had this long enough to speak of the last two (although our previous Amana was very satisfactory in those regards) the first two, value and quietness are both excellent. I will add the fifth star when I get 30 years of reliable service.

Shelving seems disproportionate to the overall size of both the freezer side and refrigerator side. Actually think a shelf extra is needed on both sides to take up the huge gap and be of better service.

We bought this fridge 5 years ago. I always make a habit to write reviews after ive owned the product for a decent amount of time. This fridge is roomy..we have a family of 8! It has gallon storage in the door. The freezer isnt huge but we have an upright so I wasnt worried about that. The filter needs replaced often..easy to change. The coils are on the bottom...kinda hard to keep clean down there lol my only complaint...I wish there was a deli drawer. Everything else..perfect!
